Jardins

You are here

In the mid XIXth century, the Count of Perelada commissioned François Duvillers (1807-1881) the design of his castle’s gardens. Duvillers, one of the most renowned landscape gardeners of his time, combined the typical geometric structure of Versailles or Chantilly with a more sinuous style inspired by English gardens. He planted 158 species, both local and exotic. Jardins (“Gardens”) is a wine with a great complexity of floral hints that aims to aromatically illustrate the essence of Duviller’s work in Perelada.
